Nova Scotia’s Climate Change Action Plan has two main goals: reducing our contribution to climate change by reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and preparing for changes to our climate that are already inevitable.

Climate change poses a variety of threats, regardless of where you are globally located, but it has particular significance to Cumberland County due to its proximity to the Bay of Fundy and the Northumberland Strait. The rising sea levels have already caused serious erosion problems at communities located along the shoreline.
